Good News Stories

We all love good news and believe that God is moving even in the challenging times of our lives.

Whether your story feels big or small, we love to celebrate and give thanks for the landmarks and glimpses of God working in and through our lives. The good news of Jesus is not just a one off moment, but an ongoing experience that continues to helps us grow in faith.

WHAT IS YOUR GOOD NEWS?

We'd love to hear it.

Read real testimonies: good news stories - right here.

I met a person who had told me about a local club for children at Stirchley Church called Rock Solid Kids, I started taking my daughter and after a couple of weeks decided to go to church and have been ever since.

I remember saying the prayer to follow Jesus a good few years ago. Since then I have changed to be more giving and considerate of other people’s situations after I accepted Jesus as the Lord of my life..

To me Jesus is someone who is constantly there for me and is there to support me when I am in troubles, he brings me peace and comfort. I’m unsure how I would describe him other than someone who I can turn to when I’m in need and someone who is always giving me support in life

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding"

Proverbs 3 v5

"This verse is a familiar one and I find I come back to it over and over again especially at this time with Coronavirus. It is because I have to re-learn to trust when I don't know what is happening around me.

About 7 years ago I felt it was time to move on from my job. I didn't have another one to go to but I knew I was being damaged physically and emotionally. God didn't shout, I didn't even hear a whisper, but when I dared to say, 'I think I should leave', a shift inside confirmed, 'Yes - it's time and I have got this in hand'.

God's peace was a proper, real thing inside me. Human worries still existed: 'What's next?' 'Who's hiring?' 'How will I pay my mortgage?' 'What if I can't find a job?' 'How long will it take?'

The questions still got asked but I knew the answer was taken care of.

The moment I stopped trying to figure it out for myself and gave God permission to take over, he did just that. In fact he had already sorted it. He had placed me before I even found the application form for the next job.

I may find myself there again but the memory of that peace I felt will make it easier to do it again. When we trust, He can get on with showing us our purpose and opening up our lives. But we got to allow Him to do it... I recommend it highly."

"I have grown up in church all my life in a Christian family. I’ve been going to different Christian youth events with the church and I was baptised at the age of 16.

However, this doesn’t mean God hasn’t done some amazing things in my life. I often feel guilty that I call on Him more when I am in tougher situations, but he loves us unconditionally, always being there without fail, and I am thankful for this every day.

During lockdown I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and even though it has been a very hard time for me God has been there every step of the way and will continue to be, even on the days when I don’t talk to him."
